Community Attitudes to Gambling

Through a recent survey, the Ballarat Interagency Taskforce on Gambling Harm sought the views of our community on gambling to inform the actions of both the Taskforce as a whole and of the individual partnering organisations.

The survey asked questions about the type and frequency of gambling people participate in, the availability of gambling products, and views about the impact of gambling in Ballarat.

The survey took around 5 minutes to complete and was be open from Wednesday 1 May until Sunday 9th June, 2019. Surveys were able to completed by following the link on this page. Hard copies were also available from the City of Ballarat, Phoenix Building and Ballarat Community Health's Wendouree, Victoria Street, Sebastopol and Lucas sites.

All feedback from the survey has been collated into a report which is available on the right hand side of this mySay page and at the locations identified above.


Ballarat Interagency Taskforce on Gambling Harm

The member organisations of the Ballarat Interagency Taskforce on Gambling Harm currently include Ballarat Community Health, the City of Ballarat, Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Centre, Central Highlands Primary Care Partnership, and Compassionate Ballarat. The Taskforce is established to advocate for the reduced harm from gambling in the City of Ballarat using a public health approach.
