The Cardigan Village Plan

The City of Ballarat has adopted The Cardigan Village Plan: Our Township Towards 2040.

The plan gives the Cardigan Village community a long-term vision and action plan for the future, and will help the community and City of Ballarat to manage change into the future.

 

The Cardigan Village Plan is part of a broader ‘Local Plans for our Townships’ program which is developing local plans for each of Ballarat’s six townships.


The plan:

  • reflects the community’s long-term vision and provides an action plan for meeting this vision.
  • helps community groups make their case when applying for grants or lobbying for funding.
  • helps the city of Ballarat prioritise its investment in Cardigan Village.
  • identifies land use planning action and potential changes to the Ballarat Planning Scheme.
  • includes actions the community can deliver itself.
  • helps the community and City of Ballarat to manage change.
