Consultation has concluded and was summarised at the Ballarat Council meeting on May 25, 2022. You can find the agenda of this meeting here. This feedback will be considered when finalising the budget which will be presented to the Council meeting on June 22, 2022.

Built for sustainability, growth and liveability

This year’s Draft Budget has been informed by you, our Ballarat community.

You made it clear that you wanted a Budget that gets the basics right; a budget that directs more funds to sustainability while delivering key projects for our growing city.

We created this draft budget to fit with the goals the Council Plan. The Draft Budget has undergone many reviews and changes to achieve a balanced and financially responsible position.

After weathering the COVID-19 crisis, Ballarat is bouncing back strongly and we as a Council are not taking our foot off the pedal. We are getting on with the job of building a Ballarat that is prosperous, connected and thriving.
