Thank you for sharing your ideas for the City Oval Masterplan

17 December 2025

Overview

The City of Ballarat recently concluded phase one of consultation for the City Oval Precinct Master plan with stakeholders and the broader community invited to share ideas. Engagement included meetings with sporting clubs, schools, community groups, and internal teams, as well as a public survey, drop-in sessions, and group submissions. The community consultation ran from 19 November to 14 December 2025.

The purpose was to understand the communities current use, aspirations, and priorities for the precinct and what improvements would make City Oval more inclusive, functional, and welcoming for sport, events, and community activities.

What’s Next

The City of Ballarat is now consolidating this feedback to combine with stakeholder and internal feedback into an Engagement Summary Report, which will be published in February 2026. This report will inform the development of the draft City Oval Masterplan, scheduled for release later in 2026 for further community input.

We thank everyone who contributed ideas and attended sessions. Your feedback is shaping the future of this important precinct.
