Thanks for your contribution.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and insights to help us better understand your views and experiences for reconciliation in our municipality. We had 190 survey contributions as part of this community engagement.

Feedback has assisted in identifying other ways in which the City of Ballarat and the community can engage and support reconciliation across our municipality.

Any endorsed RAP actions will be implemented, and progress will be monitored and reported. The community will be kept informed about the achievements and ongoing actions of this strategic document.

About the Project

The City of Ballarat’s vision for Reconciliation is to promote unity, respect, and understanding by walking together with Traditional Owners and all First Nations peoples in our community toward Reconciliation. As a Council we commit to taking tangible steps to walk together towards reconciliation.

A Reconciliation Action Plan focuses on actions for achieving the reconciliation vision. It focuses on strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and piloting strategies for further reconciliation commitment. The draft Plan outlined our key commitments and actions for the next two years, building upon the foundations of previous Reconciliation Action Plans and ongoing reconciliation activities.

The Council endorsed Reconciliation Action Plan has been developed in collaboration with First Nations community members, key stakeholders and other community partners.
