Waste and recycling collection at your home


To meet Victorian Government requirements, the City of Ballarat introduced a four-bin kerbside system in November 2025, including food and garden organics (FOGO) and glass collection services.

We are now undertaking a review of the current system and are seeking feedback from residents about how it is working for households across Ballarat.

This survey asks about how you use your bins, your experience with the service, and your preferences for collection frequency. Your feedback will help inform a service review to be presented to Council at the end of 2026.

Please note: waste and recycling services are funded through the waste charge on your rates notice. Any future changes to services may impact these charges.
