Main Road is set to be ‘reimagined’ and revitalised with the introduction of new interpretive and streetscape works to encourage more visitors to the area.
The City of Ballarat has developed a draft plan for Main Road, between Little Bridge Street and Humffray Street, based on preliminary feedback received from local traders and property owners.
The Main Road Draft Plan outlines strategies to strengthen the street’s heritage and identity, become more pedestrian-friendly and contribute to improving the city’s overall streetscape.

The City of Ballarat is currently undertaking consultation for the delivery of a new beginner street skate park facility in Ballarat. As part of this process we are committed to engaging the ideas and input of children into the design and construction and would appreciate your assistance in distributing the survey link and information via school newsletters and communications.
The opportunity for children to participate in the online survey and further consultation opportunities is underpinned by the City of Ballarat’s commitment to child safety, participation and empowerment of all children. We have a zero tolerance for child abuse and promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with disability.
This survey is an opportunity to have your say in the design of your new skate park. The survey will be open for responses until Sunday 15 April 2018

The Ballarat City Integrated Water Management (IWM) Plan (the plan) explores and sets out recommendations for future water management in the City of Ballarat.
The plan will deliver on broader liveability and community benefits by considering the whole urban water cycle, including management of stormwater, wastewater, water supplies (surface water and groundwater) and waterways.

The City of Ballarat is developing a tenancy policy to best meet the needs of council tenants.
The policy aims to ensure council owned and managed properties are appropriately maintained, developed and occupied in the best interest of both council and the community.
It relates to properties that council owns, or has delegated authority to manage, and will not apply to casual facility users.
The policy must also protect the property’s public land status and ensure rights of perpetuity are not afford to any tenant.

The Ballarat community is encouraged to have its say on the Lake Wendouree Master Plan Final Draft.
The final draft of the Lake Wendouree Master Plan builds on the preliminary draft which went on public exhibition in June and July this year. Submissions will be considered for the preparation of the Master Plan, which will then be presented to Council for adoption.
The final draft of the Lake Wendouree Master Plan achieves the goal of a 20-year strategic plan for the future of Lake Wendouree.
Additions to the final draft:
- Precinct plans with detailed recommendations for 13 precincts of the Lake foreshore, including the North and South Gardens
- A Key Improvements Plan, and
- An Implementation Framework.
