From 1 February 2023, regulations will be made to ban problematic single-use plastics from sale or supply in Victoria. This means that Ballarat businesses need to prepare.
The Circular Ballarat program puts in place initiatives to assist our businesses in working towards building a circular economy. In doing this, we are currently investigating proposals to assist in eliminating single use coffee cups in our hospitality sector
As such, the City of Ballarat are working to collaborate with the Ballarat's hospitality industry to find alternate options to serve take away coffee.
