13/11/2023: Thank you
Update 13/11/2023: Thank you to everyone who provided feedback via our surveys to the Youth Hub Feasibility Study. The surveys are now closed.
This has been an important opportunity for young people aged 12 – 25, the youth sector and the broader community to provide their ideas and priorities for a potential Youth Hub in Ballarat.
We are currently reviewing the contributions to inform the development of Youth Hub Feasibility Study which will enable the City of Ballarat to make an informed decision when considering if a commitment of a Youth Hub is or is not feasible in the future.
The City of Ballarat is exploring if a Youth Hub is possible in Ballarat.
A Youth Hub is a building, creating a safe place with spaces for young people to hang out, be involved in activities, programs, and access services.
To determine if a Youth Hub is possible we are undertaking a feasibility study.
A feasibility study will:
- Ask our community to explore and generate ideas of what programs, activities and services are of interest and priority that could be provided from a Youth Hub
- Explore how much a Youth Hub would cost to build, and also operate,
- Determine the size that a Youth Hub would ideally be,
- Explore what organisations and services could be involved with the Youth Hub to provide programs, services and activities,
- Investigate where in the Ballarat CBD area a Youth Hub might be located,
- Importantly provide City of Ballarat with information, evidence and research to make an informed decision when considering options of a Youth Hub in Ballarat
Each Youth Hub is different, we want to know what our communities’ top priorities are.
We want to hear your ideas! What would you like to see in a Youth Hub?
Your answers will help us to plan what needs to be included in a Youth Hub for Ballarat.
