Why is Council working on inclusion?

When we developed the Community Vision last year, our community made it very clear that being an inclusive city was important. Local governments are also required by law to protect, improve and promote the health and wellbeing of their communities. And we know that inclusion in community, work, learning and decision-making is vital to good health.

What are we doing?

Back in April, we asked for your input on a range of plans. You can find summaries of the engagement results in the 'Documents' section of this page.

We are proud to now present to you for comment the draft documents. There are six documents to view:

You can review and comment on one, two or all of the plans. And to make things easier, we have written two page summaries of each plan if you don't want to read the whole document. You can find these in the 'Documents' section.

How do I provide feedback?

You can fill out our survey below, or you can come to one of our drop-in sessions.

Did someone say snacks?

We will be running four drop-in sessions over the coming few weeks if you would like to see the plans and talk to Council Officers about them. And there will be snacks!

  • Thursday 8 September, 3.30pm - 5pm, Ballarat North Community Centre
  • Thursday 15 September, 4.30pm - 7pm, Sebastopol Library

Hard copy versions for review:

Hard copies of the documents are available to review and pick up from City of Ballarat Customer Service desk (in the Phoenix Building) and also at the Ballarat, Sebastopol and Wendouree Libraries.
